Our co-production Epilogues, directed by Ari Alexander Ergis Magnússon, recently premiered at the Vilnius International Film Festival, where it was reviewed by Mariana Hristova for Cineuropa.
Hristova finds Epilogues to be a fearless and poetic exploration of solitude and the approach of death. The film follows an unnamed elderly man, portrayed by Þorsteinn Gunnarsson, who, after losing his wife, sinks into deep loneliness. The reviewer highlights how the film delves into themes of grief and isolation, portraying the man's descent into despair. Epilogues stands out as a profound examination of mortality in contemporary European cinema.
